How to install apache tomcat in cPanel/whm

Introduction

Apache Tomcat (also known as Tomcat) is an open-source implementation of Java Servlets and JavaServer pages. Tomcat uses a self-contained HTTP server to provide support for Java web applications. EasyApache 4 provides the option to install Tomcat 8.5.

What you’ll need

  •  Before you begin this guide you’ll need the following:
  • Access to your account’s WebHost Manager (WHM)

Step 1 — Search for easyapache 4

Log in to your WHM and navigate to EasyApache 4

Next, click on EasyApache 4:

Step 2 — Next, click on customize

Step 3 — Next, click on Additional Packages

Next, activate the option tomcat85 and click on Next :

Step 4 — Browse the package that is installed

Next, click on provision and done

install On the command line

To install Tomcat, run the following command on the command line as the root user:

yum install ea-tomcat85
